It’s made from recycled newsprint and banana pulp by a paper-making co-operative in Blantyre, Malawi. Pamette are a small but successful women’s paper making co-operative, who provide training and sustainable incomes to local women in Chilomoni Township.

The pages have a thick parchment feel, slightly uneven and no two books or even pages are completely identical, but that’s the beauty of the truly hand made object. For that reason it is not ideal as a school exercise book, but it is perfect for keeping a journal ,doodling away, or perhaps even the odd water-colour.

The book is available with a green or orange marbled cover. It will arrive carefully wrapped in tissue and tied with recycle inner tube string- making it the perfect 100% recycled, plastic free, gift.

Due to the nature of this item, some slight variation in size and style may occur.
